Perched on a 200-acre slice of Hill Country in Blanco, Horizon Ranch was built as the ultimate landing pad for a charismatic Louisiana native who travels consistently.

The design brief called for a dual-purpose retreat: a deeply personal sanctuary for solitary recovery between flights, and a vibrant, expansive hub capable of hosting a large, tight-knit extended family for weeks at a time.

Architecturally, the home avoids the traditional impulse to blend into the rolling Hill Country terrain. Instead, it makes a clean, confident statement with long horizontal lines that frame the horizon. A mix of crisp white metal, smooth stucco, and warm wood siding gives the home a sharp, modern look that still feels right at home in the Texas sun.

The 6,000-square-foot main residence is masterfully zoned to handle varying scales of intimacy. At its heart sit expansive, open-concept living, kitchen, and dining spaces designed for effortless, large-scale hosting. For quieter moments, a private den offers a secluded acoustic retreat. Dedicated guest suites are positioned to give visiting family members complete autonomy and privacy. The entire floor plan is choreographed to blur the line between inside and out, spilling seamlessly onto a vast pool deck and a fully equipped outdoor cabana that embraces the dramatic views.

Framing the estate's central outdoor courtyard are two detached structures that elevate the ranch into a comprehensive wellness destination.
