Lagniappe

"Lagniappe," a Cajun term for "a little something extra," perfectly captures the spirit of this Lake LBJ retreat, designed for a Louisiana couple with a passion for entertaining.

This Texas Hill Country haven boasts multiple spaces for hosting, from vibrant bars to inviting lounges, all while thoughtfully responding to its unique setting. Tucked into the landscape, the lower level defers to the site's natural opportunities, creating a less imposing and more site-specific building. This considered approach is evident in features like the expansive 14-foot terrace overhang, ensuring the west-facing side remains comfortably shaded throughout the day. Their eclectic art collection adds a layer of curated sophistication, transforming every gathering into a celebration of both hospitality and artistic expression at this truly special place.
