Lago Vista

Set high above the Lake Travis in Lago Vista, this relaxed lakeside home evolved with its site, expanding from a narrow cliffside lot into a generous retreat shaped around views, light, and the Central Texas landscape.

When the neighboring property became available, the owners expanded the site, allowing the design to open up across both lots while creating more space between the house and its neighbors. The resulting 4,000-square-foot home is oriented to capture river views from nearly every room.

Clerestory windows and floor-to-ceiling retractable glass doors fill the interiors with natural light and connect living spaces to the landscape. Concrete floors and white oak bring warmth and durability inside, while redwood and Texas-sourced Antique Lueders limestone root the exterior in its lakeside setting.
