Lake Travis Retreat

Overlooking Lake Travis, the family retreat is conceived as two distinct wings that express the separation of public and private areas.

A heavy material palette defines the public section, while the private side is characterized by a lighter construction system. The wing’s interior boundaries contain a series of introspective courtyards, each with its own programmatic accord. Large overhangs, butterfly roofs, trellised walks, and water features respond to the Central Texas climate.
