Vastu House

Constructed upon the existing foundation of the client’s childhood home, the Vastu house is a reimagination of the client’s lifestyle and upbringing, a vibrant multigenerational family with a constant flow of visitors, friends, and family.

The floor plan configuration, massing, and balance of the house are based on the principles of Vastu, which is a guiding philosophy that helped determine the entry and bedroom orientations, also establishing a central courtyard as the focal experience throughout the residence.

The living room, dining room, and kitchen encompass the courtyard, blurring the boundary between indoor and outdoor living. The meditation room is the final destination of the sequential path encircling the courtyard, culminating with views to the pool and lawn.
